Car Shame of the Day

The guy below on the right in the little black Ford drove up the right shoulder bypassing the two lanes of cars patiently waiting to get on the freeway. Way to go! You got about 5 cars ahead before coming to an abrupt stop on the freeway because of traffic.

(Note the color of the car and my assessment of what the color means in my last post!)

Also, be sure to check out the Car Shaming Page if you haven’t seen it lately. Got any car shaming pictures to share? Send them to me and I’ll be happy to post.

Well I guess the practice of passing on the right at a high rate of speed on a residential street (Desoto Ave in Woodland Hills) is common! Happened to me yet again this morning. Same situation. I in the middle lane at 35 mph, passed on the right by a Ford SUV License Plate xxxxx, moving at 45-50 mph and of course racing to get ahead of me before coming in contact with a parked car. I was able to clearly read the plate since “she” passed me within inches and then had to abruptly stop for a red light (at least she did that).

Just when you think you’ve seen it all! Yesterday I was driving on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana. I was in the “middle” lane traveling in light traffic at 35 miles per hour. This part of Ventura has metered parking and so the third lane can have open space and then all of a sudden a car parked at a meter. Lucky for me (experience)I checked my right side mirror as I noted a lone car parked at a meter. Sure enough, a car was approaching at a high rate of speed in the far right lane. I judged his speed and the distance to the parked car and opted to slow down rather than challenge the potential for him to ram the parked car and/or me.

He passed me going at least 45-50, then continued to cut across to the far left lane just as the intersection appeared where he nearly hit a car making a turn off Ventura. Unfazed he continued to barrel down Ventura and last I saw of him, he was weaving in and out of lanes and speeding on his way.

I would have loved to get a picture to share so we can all know (it was a Black VW Jetta) who to look out for.

People are insane! Thankfully no one was hit and you were able to steer clear. Those darned black cars really need to slow down!
